This is the first year of our trip to the Burning man 05. The second trip 06 can be viewed here. The Burning man homepage to read about the festival can be viewed here .
We weren’t sure about what to expect. I mean you fly 10,000 miles to LA from London, rent an RV, start driving north, pump it with food at your nearest Wall-Mart and head to a desert hoping to survive a week without any hot water or normal luxuries such as a curry at your nearest takeaway . You can’t buy any thing at this event apart from Ice is its all about sharing and survival. We literally built our camp, with grass, real plants and a mini swimming pool, it was caled ‘Camp Eden’ by our neighbours. I took away many wonderful memories, and I would recommend it to those who need to ‘open their minds’…here are a few snaps of the tour…(p.s Look at Kitty’s hair )

This is the second time we went on a road trip to the Burning Man Festival the first tour can be viewed here. We hired an RV, painted it with fire style with zombies, had ‘prawn toast’ and other things randomly written on it, and travelled about 8,000 miles in it (the paint didn’t come off but that’s a different story). The journey always begins in La, off to Lake Tahoe and then Reno or Vegas before we end up in the Black Rock desert. It is such an amazing road trip and the 6 of us had such a wicked time! Here are some of the snaps…

This is generally how the Florida trip felt:
We only knew 2 days before from Dave (typically last minute.com everything) that we were meant to pack our bags and get ready to see Mickey mouse. We hated it in Disneyworld, screaming children, long ques, shit food, so we stayed only 2 nights and left for Clearwater in Tampa. MMM beach and sand was much preferred. Anyways the video sums it all up so need for Jiberish
LalaLand and Vegas Part 2 (Kitty’s Bday, Hoover dame, Gran Canyon, LA)
Posted by: lgoldman in Holiday Snaps, La April 07After Vegas we drove to the Hoover damn and then to the Gran canyon, the canyon being my favourite part. It is so gorgeous, but i still don’t see how it was voted ‘the number one spot you should see before you die’ by National Geographic. I mean, whilst Israel is still squirming it’s way to it’s 60th birthday next year, I don’t see how that was not voted the best place. Hello, what are you talking about National Geo? Anyways we stopped off countless times in a bush to let Kitty pee, and on teh road we had no choice but to stop off at the most disgusting trucker hot spots. I shall not go into how manky the food was, ecchhhhsss. Kitty and I also managed to get back to LA alone (as Dave went to San Fran and Matt went back home) and go to Venice beach.
